It is one of the few companies that, during the period of transformation from a socially-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company, employed 60 workers with third, fifth and seventh levels of professional education.

Founder's biography

Milisav-Miško Kastratović was born on 12 March 1959 in the village of Goražde near Berane. He completed primary school in Goražde and secondary Mechanical Technical School in Berane. He completed higher mechanical studies in Belgrade and the Faculty of International Management and Business at the European University in Belgrade. He began his first employment in 1977 at “Termoelektro” Belgrade, where he worked as a lead engineer. From 1993 to 1995, he worked at “Sloboda Metal” Obrenovac as Technical Director and Deputy General Director of the company. In August 1995, he was elected General Director of the company “Metal-Obrenovac” from Obrenovac. On 5 October 2002, the company “Metal-Obrenovac” was purchased at auction by its employees, and Engineer Kastratović was confirmed for a five-year term as Director. The successful business policy of this company is also confirmed by the fact that, in the process of transformation from a socially-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company, “Metal-Obrenovac” employed 60 new workers.
